Where’s the French?

This one is a little clumsy. The three arrows heading up must mean something…but what? I also do not like the black maple leaf…wrong colour for something so positive as government stimulus. tf

My main problem with this is the lack of standard Canadian branding, it’s to close to the conservatives own brand (Blue etc.) I will admit that it’s well designed (I like the arrows), but it’s just not the right design for a Canadian based program.

Note that blue seems to be the dominant colour in this logo. Subtle!

Is no one else bothered by the beige? It’s the central colour in an arrow that’s supposed to represent hope, energy, progress, momentum…there are few colours I can think of that embody those ideas less!

The spacing in the (broken!) arrow is poorly considered, and the lack of red is an affront to Brand Canada.

I was wondering about this design. It’s awkward in its typography and (I think) in its execution of the arrows concept. Also, whether it was intentional or not, it’s hard not to connect the color choices here with the Conservative Party ‘brand’. There are many Canadian designers who can do much, much better – and for a national program such as this, meant to inspire confidence and even hope, this design is really very disappointing.

The work is clunky and chunky. Imagine what this could be…lots to improve on. Gov. design has so much to be proud of (Canada word mark for instance). Maybe one day design in Canada will be play a bigger game. tf
