This is such a wonderful fish shaped ashtray – the dorsal fins provide the cigarette rests, so it doesn’t scream ashtray as some other shapes might. It features the attractive glaze “rainbow” and is marked on the underside with the CCC impression. Canadian Ceramic Craft began in 1960. Its founder was Dennis Tupy, a Czech immigrant who had previously worked for Jozo Weider at Blue Mountain Pottery. While some of the glazes and shapes are similar to BMP, the more striking pieces from CCC were often art deco in form with a stunning ‘standard’ glaze unique to CCC. -Ella Bay

Hello;
I have a correction for you regarding CCC pottery. The glaze is called rainbow. BMP had an aurora borealis glaze, but that was much different from this CCC signature glaze. You can check this out at bmpcc.com.
Hope that this helps your website.
