The logo’s aim was to represent all Indigenous peoples of Canada. The Turtle at the top represents the Earth and Turtle Island. The red Sash forms the arms of a sacred being reaching up to the creator. Attached are seven eagle feathers to honor the Seven Sacred Teachings. In between the feathers are Trees with sacred Water inside them that brings them to life. In the center below is a Tipi and an Igloo, both home and shelter, a foundation and refuge which we all need to survive.
