The residence is rectangular in shape with carefully plotted windows that give it just the right contrast. Considering that the units face onto the busy Papineau Street of Montreal, it was important for designers to ensure that windows to the residences allowed for natural sunlight to enter as well as privacy for the occupants. There are separate entrances for each of the units and a spacious shared backyard. The black building is covered in dark brick and deep charcoal paneling, with its color juxtaposed delicately by the light brown boarders of the windows and doors. In order to provide more light to the building and give the illusion of more space, the staircase is detached and has a glass railing. Dark neutral shades are carried through the interior of the building, giving it a clean look and allowing its rooms to flow seamlessly.
