For a short period of time, these were the rage among professional hockey players. The very first modernization of the ice hockey skate in the 1970's, these were replacing the old steel tube blades that had been the "norm" forever. Eventually, these were replaced by the more durable "Tuuk" blade holders that are still in use to this day....but these will always be first. 100's of NHL players gave these a try.
