This logo was created for influential DJ/producer Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman persona. In the early nineties the symbol could be seen around Detroit, denoting to those in the know, the location of Hawtin’s underground parties. The Plastikman logo has also graced numerous album covers (most notably, the infamous Sheet One album, designed to look like a paper blotter of LSD), slipmats, apparel and other paraphernalia. Today it is synonymous not only with Hawtin’s music, but with electronic music in general.
