The Prosthetic Technologies of Being project by Social Body Lab (funded by Intel Research and conducted in collaboration with Jamie Sherman) explores ways wearable devices might be used to augment expression and sensation. Monarch (shown above) and Nautiluss (below) both utilize muscle activation as a means to communicate emotion – whether aggressive or reclusive.
