The Saskatchewan Logo has recently been changed to reflect that the Provincial economy is not just “The greatest wheat growing area in the World”. Farmers are diversifying into Lentils, Peas, Mustard seed, Flax, etc., Major Potash Mines are operating and more are being developed. Also SK has much Uranium, Gold, Coal and other operating mines. SK also has many Oil wells and Oilsands adjacent to Alberta’s Fort McMurray with great development potential. I will try to enter the new logo for Saskatchewan, that needs updating on this site. People who just drive across Saskatchewan on the Trans Canada Highway get a poor impression of what SK is all about. SK has great Provincial Parks and two National Parks plus many regional Parks for site seeing, recreation, tremendous angling waters. The Province’s population is growing rapidly and many are moving in where there are great opportunities for employment and a demand for professionals in many fields.
It is no longer just a flat prairie with Grain Elevators, most of those are gone.
