The “Margarethe” bowls as they were called by the original manufacturer Rosti A/S (Denmark) were designed in the early fyfties by de danish/swedish duo Acton Björn and the uncle of the present King of Sweden, Sigvard Bernadotte. Eventually the housewares activities of Rosti were bought by the dutch company Mepalservice to form Mepal/Rosti based in Lochem Holland. Trudeau corp. was the importer/distributor of the danish/dutch products.

So…the designers are Acton Bjørn and Sigvard Bernadotte…
